Wyevale Nurseries has unveiled its new branding, logo and website this month (July, 2014) to capitalise on its rich heritage and to appeal to the modern buyer.
The company says it is bringing its image very much into the 21st century while also building on the knowledge and expertise developed during the past 86 years.
Sales and Marketing Director, Adam Dunnett said: “This year we have seen some significant changes to the company, we have re-structured from three separate businesses into one, with our container plant, tree and transplant (hedging) companies now all trading as Wyevale Nurseries.
“In celebration of this we are launching a new logo, which encompasses all the strengths of Wyevale Nurseries. We have also developed a new brand for our point of sale, with a fresh, contemporary look – where the plant image is king.”
“Our new logo gives us a modern contemporary look, representing all the aspects of Wyevale Nurseries, trees, fields of transplants and colourful container plants, and highlights our long and illustrious heritage too.
“This signals the start of an exciting new chapter for our business. We are a successful company and as such we can never stand still. Our new brand is part of our drive to lead the industry into a fast moving, flexible, customer driven era.”
The company’s 2015 buyers’ catalogue includes numerous new plant promotions and offers, as well as many of the old favourites, and is aimed at making garden centre plant areas profitable in the forthcoming season.
Adam, who has recently joined Wyevale Nurseries, added: “After spending many, many years admiring Wyevale Nurseries both as a customer or a competitor it is fantastic to now be part of one of our industry’s truly pioneering companies.
“It is rich with heritage and was built from humble beginnings. In 1928 Harry Williamson bought Kings Acre Nurseries, Hereford and Wyevale Nurseries was born. Today we are one of the UK’s largest wholesale nurseries, growing in excess of six million plants on more than 600 acres, and are still family owned, with Harry’s grandaughter and grandson, Heather and Simeon Williamson, at the helm.
“During the past 86 years many things have changed at Wyevale Nurseries, but two elements that have remained constant are providing excellent customer service and never compromising on quality. Our team today is as committed to delivering on these values as Harry was in 1928.
“I would like to throw out an open invitation for garden centre plant managers to visit Wyevale Nurseries whenever convenient to them. We are very proud of our nursery and would love to show them around so all they need to do is get in touch and let us know when they would like to come for a visit.”
