UK arborist takes spider lift

UK based arboricultural service provider Trees & Gardens (Timber) has taken delivery of a 17 metre Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 spider lift from the company’s UK distributor APS.

The 17.75 offers 7.5 metres of outreach, with an up and over height of eight metres and an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg. Measuring 4.52 metres long, it has a travel width of 800mm and a stowed height of 1.99 metres. It has also supplied with an bespoke one-man bespoke platform basket to optimise positioning in amongst the tree branches.

The machine was initially purchased for the company’s tree work division however it will also be used to provide residential property maintenance and commercial building inspections.

Trees & Gardens owner Paul Williams, said: “A spider lift is a big investment for smaller companies like Trees & Gardens. However it has proved to be excellent value for money for tree work and is also allowing us to expand the business. We have had spider lifts before, but the compact dimensions of the Hinowa enable us to do so much more.”

Founded in 2002 by Paul Williams, Trees & Gardens (Timber) operates throughout Oxfordshire providing tree felling, pruning and shaping, as well as garden and landscaping services.
