OAK trees that edge a Davenham field will be protected for the future.
Davenham Parish Council has been lobbying for Tree Protection Orders (TPOs) to be placed on the oaks surrounding Butchers Stile field.
The council has now heard from Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) that it will proceed with the application.
CWAC has suggested that one of the trees is dead and should be crowned and left as wildlife habitat while another may need pruning as it is overhanging a neighbouring garden.
“It’s just an old oak tree, there’s nothing wrong with it so I suggest we should just leave it,” he said.
