The Ancient Tree Forum is looking for someone with the right blend of skills, experience and enthusiasm to become its next Chair.
Ancient and veteran trees are a vital and treasured part of the UK’s natural and cultural landscape. They support a valuable diversity of wildlife and are of great international significance. The Ancient Tree Forum has pioneered their conservation for over 20 years, and believes there should be no further avoidable loss of these trees through development pressure, agricultural clearance, mismanagement or poor practice.
The Ancient Tree Forum (ATF) has a talented and committed Board of Trustees with a great deal of experience in ancient and veteran trees, and a range of professional skills and backgrounds.
As Chair of the Ancient Tree Forum you will provide vision and leadership to the board and staff, to ensure a strong and effective voice for the future of ancient and veteran trees.
To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter explaining what qualities and experience you could bring to the role, to John Smith by 30 October 2015, at ATFBusiness@aol.com
