Shropshire job vacancy: tree & urban forest apprentice

Shropshire Council is seeking to recruit an apprentice to join its Tree Team and contribute to the important work it does in maintaining and enhancing the tree resource of Shropshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to begin a rewarding career in professional arboriculture and urban tree and woodland management, within a local authority context.

The successful candidate will work towards gaining the Arboriculturist Level 4 Apprenticeship delivered by Myerscough College, whilst employed full time within the Tree Team at Shropshire Council.

They will receive on the job mentoring, training and support; time off from Council duties will be given on a regular basis, as needed to meet the requirements of the Apprenticeship. In addition, there is opportunity for career progression to a tree officer role upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship.
