Hundreds of trees have been planted by Sheffield youngsters as part of plans to create new woodlands.

The pupils from Brunswick Primary School dug deep at green space off Greengate Lane and Rodger Road in Woodhouse.

Events have taken place across the city to plant 50,000 new trees and are expected to conclude this week.
