Schools and Pupils are also Commonwealth Games Winners

Warwickshire based Nursery stock company R & N Plant Specialists and its Time 4 Trees national planting projects are backing our nations athletes’ by initially donating one fruit tree for every commonwealth nation participating at the Glasgow 2014 games to be planted by pupils of early year schools with team Scotland around the Glasgow area and followed through with ONE fruit tree against EVERY MEDAL WON by our home nations athlete’s to be planted at a school of their choice in their home county.

On just day four of these Tree-mendous Commonwealth Games sees an overall planting of 181 fruit trees into schools with many more medals up for grabs by our home nations athlete’s.

Its was a last minute decision at 8.15pm last Thursday evening just as coverage was leading up to the official opening of the games states R & N`s proprietor and Time 4 Trees project manager states Richard Thorpe.  What’s great about us and our  Time 4 Trees project “Is that our work is as much about people as it is about plants” so what better games legacy could we give than inspiring and conjoining school outdoor on hand educational learnings with sport.

The first of these fruit trees will be planted in September when schools go back after there summer break and extend though to the 2014 National Tree Week  with all plantings aided by our home nations winning athletes’ and our national team of horticultural ambassadors’  and corporate Time 4 Trees.
