Professional Tree Inspection – Refresher course

Date:  25 June 2014

Venue: Wokingham, Berkshire

Course duration: 09.00-17.30 approximately

Course Objectives

Who is the course for?

For anyone who has previously attended the Lantra Awards 3-day Professional Tree Inspection course

Presented by Guy Watson

This one-day update and refresher course is intended for those who have previously attended the well-respected 3-day Professional Tree Inspection course. Those arboriculturists who are working at the upper level of tree inspection as part of their services need to be aware of the latest thinking in a range of different aspects, from policy guidance to the latest legal cases and the precedents they set, from technical diagnostic techniques to the appropriate terminology and consistency in recording and reporting.

The course will include both practical and theoretical sessions, with a VTA walk, update sessions, structural inspection discussion and sharing of good practice, including recent developments with pests, diseases, fungi and other structural decay indicators. There will also be tree inspection exercises to bring all these aspects together to confirm a comprehensive understanding of the subject in current application. There will not be a formal assessment.

As well as providing essential CPD for those who have been successful in the original course and have been carrying out tree inspection at a professional level, the course will also be extremely useful for anyone that attended the course but has not yet passed the assessment, to help them prepare for a re-take of the assessment (conducted separately).
