Forty two trees are to be given a shave to prevent branches hitting members of the public.
Zoe Belcher, of East Staffordshire Borough Council has been given permission by the authority to lift 43 lime trees on both sides along the Andressey footpath, off Andressey Bridge, Burton.
She says the work is essential to prevent members of the public being hit by a tree branch in the face or eye line.
