Leading plane tree wilt expert Professor Lucio Montecchio is one of seven international speakers to present at the Arboricultural Association’s 50th National Amenity Conference to be held at Keele University, Staffordshire, from 4th to 7th September 2016. Keith Sacre of Barcham Trees recently attended a two-day workshop led by the professor of Forest Pathology and Ornamental Trees Pathology at the University of Padova (Padua) on plane tree wilt at Castelfranco Veneto, Treviso, Italy.
Other overseas presenters include Henrik Sjöman of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, a leading authority on species selection for urban sites, Francesco Escobedo, professor in the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the Universidad del Rosario, Columbia, and Andrew Koeser, assistant professor of Environmental Horticulture and Landscape Management at the University of Florida, USA.
