Overgrown trees covering Plymouth school sign will have to be cut back

A Plymouth resident is having to apply for permission to chop back trees – because they are starting to obscure road signs.

The three trees are in a conservation area, so the green light is needed to hack them back.

They are growing towards the road on the corner of The Grove and Molesworth Road, in Stoke, and beginning to cover over a school sign.

The troublesome trees will be pruned by between 10 and 30 per cent if Plymouth City Council allows it.
