Ego has launched its first tabless cell technology which promises faster charging and enhanced power.
The Lithium MAX is capable of delivering up to 40% more power than an equivalent 8Ah battery using standard cells.
It is also built for long-lasting performance, boasting a two-times longer lifecycle with the ability to charge in 20 minutes using the Ego PGX2500PB Power Bank.
The development of tabless lithium-ion cells in the new battery also have a reduced resistant which allows energy to be transferred faster without generating heat inside the battery cells, which also increases the battery's lifespan.
Andrew Frohock, IoT product manager for Ego, comments on the new launch:
"This launch marks a first for EGO and signals our continued investment in expanding and developing our solutions in response to consumer and industry needs.”
The Lithium MAX can be monitored using the Ego Fleet and Ego Connect apps. For more information on the new battery, visit: egopowerplus.co.uk.
Stihl also recently announced the launch of a new tabless battery, which means forestry, landscaping and groundcare professionals will have “more power and longer run time to do their work” and the benefit of it being compatible with the existing AP battery system.
