The College’s Arboriculture department recently appointed Arboriculture Lecturer Sally Schuck into this exciting new role. Sally has only been with the College for 3 months and has successfully settled into the team, delivering lectures to Arboriculture students at all levels.

Back at College Sally initially started studying Horticulture, however it was quickly recognised that she should concentrate on Arboriculture as a specialism due to her aptitude of climbing and love of trees. After leaving College Sally ran her own Arboriculture business for nine years, alongside her teaching.

Sally is currently studying for her MSc in Arboriculture and Urban Forestry and hopes to eventually gain her PhD in the future.

Merrist Wood offer a wide range of Arboriculture courses including full time Diplomas and short chainsaw and climbing courses. Visit their website for more details www.merristwood.ac.uk
