The Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF) President, Prof Julian Evans, has been recognised for his book God’s Trees – Trees, Forests and Wood in the Bible, published by DayOne, Leominster. The book was voted a finalist in this year’s People’s Book Prize for non-fiction.

Although God’s Trees was not the overall winner, the lavish prize ceremony in the 17th Century Stationers Hall, near St Pauls in London, was enriched for our President by dining off oak tables more than 300 years old and the claim that the London plane tree in the courtyard was the oldest in City of London!
