The largest tree spade in Europe, responsible for transplanting more than one million trees, has signed a contract with a new agent for the UK and Ireland.
Landscaping experts Wilkinson Cox Ltd clinched the deal with Opitz to run its UK interests including responsibility for securing new commercial business opportunities and utilising its expert project management function.
The operation will tap into Wilkinson Cox’s specialist landscaping expertise specifically benefiting from the business’s impressive design, construction and planting portfolio.
Critically Wilkinson Cox will support Opitz’s core ambition to preserve the environment and enhance the lifespan of large trees through relocation efforts.
This work is not only a cost effective alternative to rearing a seedling to a large tree, but it also provides the numerous benefits trees add to both urban and rural environments.
Nigel Fox, Co-founder of Wilkinson Cox, said: “We’re delighted to team up with our new partner Opitz. This exciting new project will give us the opportunity to merge our extensive landscaping expertise with Opitz’s impressive environmental agenda.
