Cinderford skate park has been the victim of graffiti and damage to gates in recent months, but this latest act certainly takes the biscuit.

Over the weekend someone cut down some silver birch trees, where the skate park borders Springfield Drive.

It has left townspeople staggered at this latest act of wanton damage.

The cuts are clean and appear to have been done with a chainsaw.

The Town Clerk said: “These trees were large and it has taken some time for them to reach their size.

“This is being treated as criminal damage. We already have information passed to us and the Police have been informed. And further information would be appreciated and treated in confidence.”
