Outdoor power tool manufacturer Husqvarna has revealed a new “revolutionary battery lift” power ascender that it says is set to transform the way arborists work up in the trees.
Johan Hallendorff, director of product management chainsaws at Husqvarna, calls it a “game-changing lift” that will “significantly enhance efficiency in canopy projects”.
It uses the Swedish brand’s BLi-X battery system to allow arborists to quickly ascend or descend from their work areas, “streamlining” the process. Tools and gear can be sent up to climbers or brought down via a speed of up to 24m per minute.
The remote-controlled product has been created through a strategic partnership with safety system provider Skylotec and will be available to purchase through selected partners early next year.
Skylotec’s CEO says the collaboration “marks a milestone in our joint ambition to make the workday even better for arborists around the globe.”
Husqvarna launched the new power ascender at its Living City event in Paris this month.
