Ground Control, the UK’s fastest growing external solutions provider, is delighted to announce that following an intense and challenging tender process, we have been awarded new contracts with UKPN.
The new 12 year contract (4+4+4) is set to cover the clearance and maintenance of trees and vegetation away from overhead power lines. The contract covers the Purfleet, Enfield, Stevenage and Hemel Hemsted areas. Ground Control will work to guarantee the security of supply, and also ensure continued safety of the public moving forward.
Ground Control has previously worked in partnership with UKPN as part of a one year contract covering the Purfleet area. The new win, building on the success of our delivery on the previous contract, has seen Ground Control’s coverage of UKPN assets quadruple in size.
Peter Allen, Ground Control’s Director of Arboriculture, said:
“I am delighted at this award; it is a real tribute to the professionalism and dedication of the Ground Control Utility Arboriculture team led by Steve Amison and James Sadler who have spearheaded the expert delivery of works in our existing area for UKPN that has led to this award that has quadrupled our operating area for UKPN. The continuity that this contract potentially offers will allow Ground Control to continue to innovate and work in collaboration with UKPN in the smart delivery of Arboricultural and Electrical Services.”
