Glendale has appointed Ryan Stanbrook as a new arboriculture contract manager in the South East.

Based at the company’s depot in Sevenoaks, Ryan will be responsible for growing the business in Kent’s private sector market as well as managing the site’s current arboriculture contracts with Phoenix Community Housing Trust and Southwark Council.

He joins Glendale from London Underground where he worked as a site manager for 18 months, responsible for large groups of arborists cutting back and maintaining trees and vegetation around high voltage railway tracks.

He brings with him specialist skills in railway tree management and arboriculture around high voltage tracks. He holds a series of qualifications enabling him to carry out this work safely and to a high standard, including Personal Track Safety (PTS), Site Person in Charge (SPIC), LUCAS, TRACAC and AREA A.

Originally from Essex, Ryan has been working in the arboriculture industry for eight years and started out as a supervisor for his family’s tree surgery business. Ryan comments: “Working for a large company like Glendale really interested me as there is a lot of room for progression and they work to a high standard.

“My main goal for the first few months, and for the rest of my career at Glendale, is business development and bringing my contract forward in a profitable direction.  The most substantial challenge the contract faces is moving into the private sector in the local area and I intend to face this with a head on approach.”
