The largest specialist green service provider in the UK, Glendale, has been awarded a place on Wycombe District Council’s selected contractor list for arboriculture.
Glendale will deploy specialist teams of arborists to deliver tree maintenance services and is one of six suppliers on the four year framework.
John McKenna, Glendale’s operations manager for London and the South East, said: “The Wycombe contract is a good, strong framework win for the South East region. It is of high quality and provides us with a great opportunity to build our relationship with the local authority and our presence in the local area.
“We’re extremely pleased to be working in partnership with the client and its appointment of Glendale is a testament to the work we have done previously. Being one of six preferred suppliers enables the council to have the best selection of specialists, which all offer value for money and is a wise move bearing in mind the pressures local authorities are under.
“Aside from this, Wycombe District Council has a commitment to enhance the management and care of trees in the local area. This echoes our own values and we’re working with local authorities across the South East to share best practice and technical expertise for the benefit of the UK’s trees and green spaces.
The framework has a value of £68,000 per annum and will commence on November 1 2014.
It is a re-win for Glendale, which has been on the framework for the past four years.
