Leicestershire-based UK Oak Doors are encouraging educational institutions across the UK to get involved in National Tree Week – starting 29 November – by supplying free trees.
Initially launched to coincide with National Tree Week 2013, the initiative has so far seen 250 trees supplied to UK schools.
With a view to enriching learning environments and helping young people in the UK to develop an appreciation for nature, UK Oak Doors are hoping to see this number exceeded in 2014.
All educational facilities including schools, colleges and universities are able to submit an application for free trees, which can be found at www.ukoakdoors.co.uk/info-trees-for-schools.
