Services in the tree department at Country Grounds Maintenance, based at West Dereham, are branching out with the arrival of new arboriculturist.
Jonathan Ives will be leading the arboricultural services which provide a dedicated consultancy offering bespoke solutions for commercial and domestic clients.
Jonathan, who takes up the role of senior consultant, has extensive experience in the arboricultural industry having graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a BSc in Arboriculture and Amenity Forestry and has previously been senior tree officer at the London Borough of Haringey and a private consultant for a number of years.
Arboricultural manager Chris Smith said: “With Jonathan’s extensive skills and knowledge we are now able to provide a full suite of consultancy services to cater for the needs of existing and new clients. This complements our existing Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor department covering East Anglia.”
Jonathan said: “Having moved to the area 12 years ago, I’m delighted to join East Anglia’s premier environmental services provider. I look forward to building upon the great work that CGM already does with the fantastic team we have in place.”
The CGM Group can now provide BS5837 tree surveys to support planning proposals and applications; on site arboricultural supervision for developments; supply, installation and maintenance of construction exclusion zone fencing; mortgage and subsidence reports; tree safety surveys and reports; tree and woodland management plans; specialist advice for veteran trees, pests and diseases and decay management.
CGM, founded in 1985, supplies quality-accredited services to commercial and domestic customers with the core of its work based around grounds maintenance, landscaping, cleaning and arboriculture. Two other businesses owned by CGM are Glover Agricultural Contractors and the Downham Country Garden Store.
