The Royal Forestry Society (RFS) are welcoming entries for their Excellence in Forestry Awards 2017.
The Awards are the premier competition for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, celebrating all that is best in woodland management across four different categories and recognising the very best in woodland and foresty Education and Learning projects.
Entries are invited for 2017 from across Eastern England and the Midlands (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands*).
The EiF Awards presentation day will be held at Grimsthorpe Castle, Bourne, Lincolnshire (http://www.grimsthorpe.co.uk/) on Friday 14 July 2017.
The five categories that are being contested this year are: Excellence in silviculture, Duke of Cornwall award for resilient multi-purpose forestry, small and farm woodlands, urban community and forestry, and finally the education and learning award.
