On Thursday 3rd September, James Coles & Sons (Nurseries) Ltd will be holding their biennial Open Day, this time at their Syston Nursery. The free event is open to all to attend (pre-registration required), and will feature a tour of the 60+ acre production site, networking opportunities , talks from various industry experts and a visit to a local craft brewery.
Starting at 9:30, guests will spend the morning on a tour of the Nursery, stopping at various stations for talks and demonstrations on new and industry leading practises from guest and in-house experts. These will include a demonstration of a new remote stock control system developed by TSD Automatisering and pioneered by Coles, a talk on the National Plant Specification (NPS) and a demonstration from JCB of their new Teletruk machines. Following the Nursery Tour, guests will be taken by coach to a local craft brewery for a tour, tasting and meal, before returning to Syston by 16:00.
