BARRATT Homes has marked the completion of its 400,000th home with a tree-planting ceremony at one of its newest developments, Imperial Court in Bristol.
Over the next 18 months, Barratt will plant 400,000 trees and shrubs – an initiative which it says “reflects the importance of green space, nature, and the ecology and biodiversity of new homes developments”.
The move also fits with Barratt Homes’ brand. Sales director Andrea Pilgrim explains: “The oak tree is important to the brand. As well as representing its commitment to sustainability and planting, the iconic tree is at the heart of our logo.”
Trainee site managers Holly Fox and Bethan Powell kicked-off the initiative locally by planting the first oak tree at Imperial Court, Whitchurch. Holly is a trainee site manager at The Gateway in Melksham and Bethan is at Dove Hill, Stroud.
