APF 2016, the UK’s leading forestry, woodland trees and timber show is set to smash all previous records as the number of exhibitors is now over 307, up more than 15% on the record 2014 total of 270.
The APF event is run biannually and started in 1976 in Longleat Estate. This will be the 21st exhibition and will be returning to Ragley Estate, where the event was held in 2004, 2006, 2012 and 2014.
It is the leading exhibition for forestry, woodland, arboriculture, wood fuel and utility sectors in the UK. There will be over 300 exhibitors attending the event with over 18,000 visitors also attending over the course of 3 days. 90% of the visitors are trade professionals who work in the industry.
Exhibition Secretary, Ian Millward commented, “It is a fantastic achievement to break the 300 exhibitor barrier and is a reflection that the trade recognises that the APF Exhibition is the place to exhibit to sell their machinery, equipment and services to the industry.”
There will be over 2 1/2 miles of working machinery frontage and more than £30m of machinery on show.
Ian then went to say “We have always been very careful to stick to our core market of trade professionals from the forestry, timber, woodland, trees, and ground care sectors. This ensures that the exhibitors know that practically every visitor to their stand is a potential customer. This year we have also focused more on the farming sector as many farms have small woodlands or individual trees that could make a valuable contribution to farm income and the exhibition is the perfect place to see machinery and equipment designed for small woodlands and adding value to their farm timber.”
As of now, the exhibition still has a small amount of space left for exhibitors, so if there are any companies who still would like to take part, Ian urges you to contact him as soon as possible regarding filling the space.
Maps showing available space and booking forms are on the exhibitor section of the website as is a short video of the 2014 event giving a flavour of the size and scale of the show.
