Dear Members
Please find a link, right, to a copy of the Association’s Annual Report 2013–2014. This report contains a summary of the Accounts for the financial year 2013. A full set of the accounts is available upon request frommel@trees.org.uk.
Please also find links, right, for details submitted in respect of the 12 nominations which we have received for the posts of Trustees with the Association. There are 4 Trustee positions available. As a member, you are invited to attend the AGM on Monday 15 September at 6.00 pm in the Conference Lecture Hall, Royal Holloway, University of London, Windsor Building, Egham, Surrey TW20 0EX. At the AGM you will be able to vote for a maximum of 4 Trustee positions. We would ask that you print out, complete and bring the voting form along with you to the AGM.
Should you be unable to attend the AGM, then please use your vote and nominate a proxy. To do so, download, print out and complete the voting form and return to Melanie Sutherland at Head Office either by email to mel@trees.org.uk or alternatively by post to The Malthouse, Stroud Green, Standish, Stonehouse, Glos. GL10 3DL. A proxy may be a fellow member attending the AGM or you may elect to use a member of the HQ team – either Simon Richmond or Simon Cox; details are contained on the form.
The role of our Trustees is critical to the strategic direction of the Association. They are the people who lead the charity and decide how we are run. Working in a voluntary capacity, they act out of a desire to help the Association and make positive changes. This year we have 12 strong candidates, all prepared to support the AA and volunteer their time. Please may I ask that you spare some of your time to read their submissions and use your vote, either in person at the AGM or by proxy.
